ABOUT THE COURSE

The prime focus of Crisis Management and Emergency Management is on safety of people, physical assets and image/reputation. Simulating real-life, participants in this interactive workshop react to crisis situations as they unfold, experience first-hand the challenges of Emergency Response and gain an appreciation of the critical need for proactive planning, exercising and maintenance, as Emergency Response skills and techniques. First part of the workshop deals with Crisis Management concepts while the candidates are taken through a Disaster Simulation exercise during the second half. This fast-paced exercise is conducted primarily through role-plays in a simulated real-life disaster situation, to which participants will need to respond.

This workshop entitles you to 8 CPE credits.

DHIRAJ LAL

A Chemical Engineer and an MBA in IT and Finance, Dhiraj Lal has over 20 years Business Continuity Management experience and 32 years overall. He has worked full-time with Standard Chartered, Agilent and American Express, where he headed Business Continuity,  Risk and Internal Control. He teaches and consults in Business Continuity  (ISO 22301) and related domains. He has been invited to present on Risk and Resilience at the BCI Annual conference in the UK, DRI US, BCM Institute Singapore, itSMF UK, DRI Asia in Malaysia, ISACA UAE,  KSA and India. He has presented at various Middle East Business and IT Resilience Summits in Abu  Dhabi, Dubai, KSA and India, and also CORE’s global online summits. He has written books on Business Continuity including on BCM in the UAE.
